Monday, October 27, 2025  Mooresville, Indiana This was such a great week, a little tough but overall awesome! It is such a blessing to see miracles everyday! I'm so grateful for all the people I have met, I'm so grateful for my companion and family. TUESDAY: We found some really cool people today! We found Kenny who said he is never usually home, so it was such a miracle that we knocked his house today.  He seemed super interested and we gave him a Book of Mormon. We then found another friend, however they might just be interested in us and not the gospel, but we will have to see.  We did a LOT of biking today and it was cold, windy, and raining. We had companion study at the Wendy's we always go to and totally fell asleep listening to a talk.  We then got a text from some sisters in Illinois who said they had a friend moving to Plainfield, Indiana soon and they wanted us to call into the lesson. We weren't sure how well this was going to work out, but are always gl...

Monday, October 20, 2025  Mooresville, Indiana THE LEAVES ARE TURNING! It is finally starting to feel like fall here (not that I really know what that's like)! It is so pretty. MONDAY: My preparation day didn't even feel real. First we went to Denny's for brunch. They didn't cook the eggs; a lot of the district ordered sunny-side up and while some of the white were cooked most of it wasn't. Then we went thrift store shopping! I love to thrift, it is like my favorite thing. I got that from my Nana and Grandma Lo. Then I sent voice messages and called my family. After p-day I went on exchanges. I was super nervous about it, but it was so good. TUESDAY: We had a ton of lessons! I met so many people. Sister Thompson's area is the Indiana University campus so we spent a lot of time pc (public contacting) that was super nerve wreaking because going up to people and talking to them is very new to me, but getting out of my comfort zone is so important for growth.  We w...

Monday, October 13, 2025  Mooresville, Indiana I'm super happy that it is Preparation Day it has been a long week. Monday: I called my family wrote my email and played Hoosier Ball. I think Indiana just loves to call anything Hoosier! They love the word! Anyway, the game is super fun it's like ultimate Frisbee and soccer. I was actually not terrible at it. We spent the whole day at the church building, I love P-Day! Tuesday: Back to work! Because we car-share with the Sister's we are living with we bike every other day.  We can't really get to the area we are supposed to be in by bike, so we have been making it up as we go. We like to stay in one area for the day. We do our companion study at the Barns and Noble here, I love it so much because it means that I can look at books and make a list of what I want to read when I get home. We had three lessons planned today and we got to actually teach two of them!  We talked a lot about the Book of Mormon. We also knocked on d...

Monday, October 6, 2025 Mooresville, Indiana I'm super excited to report that I made it to Indiana! It is super beautiful here; there is so much green. Lots of trees too, but mostly there is corn. I'm in the Mooresville area, and I love it!  As much as I have loved it here it has also made me miss my MTC District. I didn't think it would be this hard to leave them, but I think about them everyday.  I really hope we get to see each other after our missions. TUESDAY: Boy talk about a rough day. Sister Veach and I were the only ones left in our dorm, and Elder Davis and Elder Camp were the only two left in our district at the MTC. We thought saying goodbye on Monday was hard; however, having to go through a whole day without our district felt awful! We did a lot of packing and cleaning and trying to not think about having to say goodbye again to the Elders. Tuesday night after the devotional we said our goodbyes and headed to bed. WEDNESDAY: Not much sleep happened because we ...

01 October 2025: Felicity Arrives in the Mission Field

Image
Wednesday, October 1, 2025 Indiana Indianapolis Mission Indianapolis, Indiana Early Wednesday morning Felicity and her companion left the Missionary Training Center for the Indianapolis Indiana mission by plane.  She arrived safely in Indiana and we received the following from the Mission President's wife: Dear Parents-- Your missionary has arrived! We are so excited to have them in the Indiana Indianapolis Mission. We have been waiting and preparing for them. After we picked them up from the airport, we drove to the hotel, dropped their luggage off, then went to the temple to take pictures. President Matheson also shared with them that we begin with exaltation in mind--at the temple. We are so glad that they have that image in mind as they begin this extraordinary time in their discipleship to Jesus Christ. We made our way to the Mission Home where they had a casual dinner, while President had a short interview with each one of them and our mission health advisors also interviewed...

30 September 2025: MTC Week 2

Image
Tuesday, September 23, 2025 Missionary Training Center Provo, Utah Oh my Gosh what a week!  This week was full of great moments and the spirit. You can feel the spirit anywhere here at the MTC.  Wednesday: Sister Veach and I made a goal of taking a picture in front of each of the huge pictures in the MTC. Then we headed to class, where our teacher had the same idea, so we went again to each picture, but this time we wrote down each of the scripture that went along with it. In class we did a lot of practicing the lessons we are going to be teaching. This has been super helpful, because I have been able to learn more about the gospel and how to best teach it. Then we went to plan out our HOA (Helping Others Appointment) which was based around the Plan of Salvation. I always have loved the plan of salvation and what it teaches us. It teaches that Earth isn't the end, and we can continue to learn and grow in the gospel. Thursday: We went to the temple again this time to do sealing...
