Anderson, IN

This week was full of adventures!

The beginning of the week was so full of faith and effort! We were able to find some really cool and awesome people!

Thursday we were told that our zone would be participating in a faith walk. Which is a trail in the forest with audio and videos centered around Jesus Christ to help you take a struggle that you are having and allowing the Savior to heal and recuse you! So Thursday we drove to this camp where we would be spending the night. We did the faith walk that night and it was a night that I will never forget! I've never felt more fully the love that my Savior has for me and others! I loved being healed by the atonement of Jesus Christ! I would highly recommend attending a faith walk! It was amazing!

Thursday night we slept in a cabin and the next morning departed to take what we learned and teach it to those in our areas. We had exchanges so I went to Muncie with Sister Chatterton! She is my favorite! She is so amazing!

We spent Friday doing some service for a member in the ward. Their neighbors house is falling apart and the floods caused the sewer to leak under their house and cause a mud slide of poop water.  The members picked up a homeless man to help with the task of shoveling the poop mud from under the house; it was the most interesting service I've ever done! The next day we biked all day and the sisters live a 20 minute bike ride out of their area so it was an adventure for sure! We talked to some crazy people which is always amazing.

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT

In the faith walk there was a part where you're shown all these people from the scriptures that the Savior healed and we were invited to ponder on what the Savior would say to you. And this thought came to me, "I've got this, doubt not, fear not, and know that I love you". It was exactly what I needed. The Savior always knows better than I do, and as I trust Him He can work mighty miracles through me!

Mooresville, IN Monday, December 15, 2025 I cannot believe that I have been out for 3 months, and it's the week before Christmas! This is such a special time to be a missionary, I'm so grateful for this time! I wouldn't want to be anywhere else! Friends we are teaching: Right now we have two friends that are progressing and coming to church! Our friend Shirley is going to be baptized, she has such a strong faith and has never been baptized before so I'm hopeful for her. Our other friend David comes to church through thick and thin! He will also be getting baptized, I can tell!  Highlights: - SISTER OLDHAM SPENT THE NIGHT! Her and her companion would have had a two hour drive to the mission tour so they did half the drive Wednesday and spent the night at our apartment. It was much needed, I missed her so badly! -MISSION TOUR! We had two general authorities come and talk to us! Elder Barcellos and Elder Haynie! They both gave very inspiring talks! - WEATHER UPDATE It was ...

Monday, October 20, 2025  Mooresville, Indiana THE LEAVES ARE TURNING! It is finally starting to feel like fall here (not that I really know what that's like)! It is so pretty. MONDAY: My preparation day didn't even feel real. First we went to Denny's for brunch. They didn't cook the eggs; a lot of the district ordered sunny-side up and while some of the white were cooked most of it wasn't. Then we went thrift store shopping! I love to thrift, it is like my favorite thing. I got that from my Nana and Grandma Lo. Then I sent voice messages and called my family. After p-day I went on exchanges. I was super nervous about it, but it was so good. TUESDAY: We had a ton of lessons! I met so many people. Sister Thompson's area is the Indiana University campus so we spent a lot of time pc (public contacting) that was super nerve wreaking because going up to people and talking to them is very new to me, but getting out of my comfort zone is so important for growth.  We w...

Monday, December 8, 2025 Mooresville, IN  Hello All!  This week we had exchanges and I went to IU campus and it was super fun! Even though public contacting isn't my favorite, I had a great time. It snowed like crazy Monday night and into Tuesday. We had some lessons with our friends and a returning member. I'm so grateful for all our friends (people we're teaching) and their desires to grow closer to Christ. We had two friends come to church on Sunday! We had an awesome fast and testimony meeting; one of our friends even got up to bear his testimony!  Spiritual Thought: God is in the details of our lives.  He is so aware of every need that we have. I'm so grateful for prayer and the time to talk with Heavenly Father about my day and my troubles. I was so grateful to receive Christmas cards from the Activity Day (8-11 year-olds) girls in my ward at home this week.   Love you all hope you are having the best December, and Christmas season!
